Heather Burdine - ACSW
Despite being an issue that everyone has had some experience with, addiction remains one of the most complicated, fascinating and misunderstood disease process. For these reasons, working with people and families struggling to find balance and healing is both challenging and rewarding. It is a privilege to accompany someone on their recovery journey. I find that I am challenged daily to become a better person by my clients and families.
I currently hold a masters degree in Social Work and I am working toward licensure as an LCSW. I hold certifications in DBT, CBT and grief and bereavement counseling. I have also worked to provide hospice and bereavement services. These experiences provide a background for the many losses that come with the addiction and recovery process.
My outside interests include running and I have completed six marathons. I enjoy yoga and I am always looking for new challenges and learning experiences.
